2025 St. Rita Hall of Fame Inductee: Chris Larkin ‘84
We are honored to induct Chris Larkin '84 into the St. Rita Hall of Fame at our 88th Annual Alumni Banquet & Hall of Fame Dinner.
Chris Larkin followed in the footsteps of his father, Joseph Larkin ’55, and his two older brothers, Tim ’81 and Dan ’82, by attending St. Rita High School. At St. Rita, he was a captain of the 1983 State Semi-Finalist Football Team. Chris was also close friends with Dave Delaney ’84, a lifelong friend from St. Denis, who was voted “the worst trumpet player ever in St. Rita Band history.”
After Chris, his two younger brothers, Mike ’89 and Joe ’92, would also attend St. Rita, continuing the family tradition. It was during his time at St. Rita that Chris met his wife, Patti, through her brother Roy Day ’83, a classmate and friend.
Following high school, Chris attended Wabash College, where he continued his football career and graduated in 1988 with a degree in Economics.
After college, Chris started his professional career at Susquehanna International Group in the Options Trading field. While working he began coaching grammar school teams, which led him to coach at St. Rita. After nine years at St. Rita, he continued to coach at St. Michael’s in Orland Park, where he has been for the last twenty years.
Chris had the pleasure of watching his boys, Patrick ’17, Marty ’20, and Sean ’24 become part of the St. Rita brotherhood, while participating in various sports. Through it all, he never failed to remind them that their sister, Kate, was still his favorite.
In addition, Chris’s mother Dorothy “Dody” Larkin and his younger sister Maureen Larkin Revers both worked at St. Rita for a number of years.
Chris continues to stay active in the St. Rita community by attending various sporting events and through his support of the St. Rita Wrestling program.
Join us in celebrating Chris, along with our renowned Hall of Fame inductees and anniversary classes, at our 88th Annual Alumni Banquet & Hall of Fame Dinner on Friday, May 2! Purchase your tickets here!
