Tom ‘74 & Trish Harrington Named Couple Of The Year
St. Rita High School is proud to be naming Tom ’74 and Trish Harrington the Couple of the Year at The 36th Annual Caritas Gala Valentine Dinner Dance.
The Couple of the Year Award is presented to honor a couple who is closely tied to the St. Rita Family. The couple is recognized mainly for their direct involvement and support of the mission of St. Rita. They are also recognized for the support of other charitable endeavors outside of the St. Rita community.
Tom led a successful career as a trader at the Chicago Board of Trade. While doing so, he also remained dedicated to his alma mater. Tom not only served on the Board of Directors for many years, but he also founded the Pat Cronin Memorial Golf Outing. Over the years, the outing raised over $1 million in support of St. Rita.
Tom also served as the Chairman of the 100th Anniversary events in 2005, including a Gala Celebration.
Trish Harrington has also been a part of the fabric of St. Rita, having been an important member of the Institutional Advancement team for over 16 years. She retired from working at IBEW Local 134 Apprentice school.
Tom and Trish are a part of the St. John Fisher parish. Their four children — Jack ’02, Kelly, Tom ’06, and Maura — also attended SJF. They are the grandparents of six beautiful grandchildren.
Congratulations, Tom and Trish!
