Joe Rizza Receives Tolle Lege Community Service Award

We are proud to name Joe Rizza (HON) as the recipient of the Tolle Lege Community Service Award. This honor is given to an outstanding individual that not only supports St. Rita High School, but also has made a positive impact on the local community as well, through their career, service, and philanthropy.

Joe Rizza is an honorary alumnus and longtime supporter of St. Rita and the Valentine’s Dinner Dance. Specifically, attendees may recognize the inside front cover of each year’s program, which is dedicated to the memory of Philip Joseph Rizza, Joe’s son.

Joe entered the automobile business in 1967 as an owner of Bonnie Brook Ford in Chicago. Since, he has grown his business on a reputation of honesty, and strong, loyal relationships. The Joe Rizza Auto Group now consists of nine new car franchises, offering new and pre-owned vehicles. The franchises include Joe Rizza Acura, Joe Rizza Alfa Romeo, Joe Rizza Ford, Joe Rizza, Joe Rizza Lincoln, Joe Rizza Maserati, and Porsche Orland Park — all in Orland Park, Illinois. The other franchises are in Tinley Park; they include Rizza Buick, Rizza Cadillac, and Rizza GMC. Joe is active in his dealerships and has served on many corporate and charity boards. He and his wife, Nives, are important members of the Chicagoland business and philanthropic communities. Their support of St. Rita High School has helped countless families afford an Augustinian, Catholic education at St. Rita, by providing much needed financial aid and scholarships.
