St. Rita of Cascia High School Adds New Athletic Director Curtis Price '88
CHICAGO, IL, July 7, 2022—Deacon John Donahue, J.D., Ed.D., President of St. Rita of Cascia High School, announced that Curtis Price has been named as the new Athletic Director. Price is a 1988 graduate of St. Rita.
Curtis brings an extensive coaching background with him to St. Rita. He has 16 years of coaching experience, and several years of experience holding Athletic Director roles. He began his coaching career at Marian Central Catholic High School as the Assistant Coach for the boys' basketball team and later became the Head Coach for the same boys' basketball program.
From his coaching years, he became the Assistant Athletic Director and successfully worked his way to the Athletic Director role. At Marian Central Catholic, Price was responsible for the daily operations of the athletics department and organized it in its entirety. Some of his responsibilities included scheduling and securing all athletic contests and organizing all ticket sellers for athletic events. Price started the Athletic Booster Club at Marian Central and put in the effort to improve all of the athletic facilities as well.
Curtis Price is a member of the Illinois Athletic Directors Association (IADA), the chair of the IADA Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) committee, and is also a member of the National Interscholastic Athletic Administration Association (NIAAA) DEI committee.

Curtis Price grew up on the Southside of Chicago and credits St. Rita for helping him obtain the skills to become a better person and have shaped who he is today. Price was blessed to attend St. Rita High School where he started all four years on the varsity basketball team. After graduating from St. Rita, Price continued his academic and athletic career at DePaul University. He earned his Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in Business Management and later attended Ohio University where he received his Master's degree focusing on Athletic Administration. Price has been married to his wife Michelle for 28 years and together they have three adult children.
