The St. Rita House System
Established in August 2011, The House System at St. Rita of Cascia High School is designed to encourage and increase meaningful, good-spirited competition between students and to create a more supportive family environment. At St. Rita, The House System has many benefits. The Houses provide not only an increased feeling of identity and belonging, they also provide students with a sense of tradition and abundant leadership opportunities. With the establishment of the Houses, constant encouragement for students to do their best is prevalent, as well as positive attitudes toward one another.
St. Rita High School has eight Houses comprised of students in each grade level that come from diverse ethnic, religious, geographical, extracurricular and academic backgrounds. The Houses also includes faculty and staff members whom hold various positions as part of the St. Rita Family. Each House is named after a Rita “Legend”; a person who made an impact in the school’s 108-year history.
The House System is operated under the Office of Student Activities by the Assistant Director of Student Activities, Mr. Josh Blaszak ’02, with the assistance of the St. Rita of Cascia High School Activities Team.
