On Sunday, September 30th St. Rita High School will be hosting the 13th annual Mustang Stampede on the St. Rita campus. This marching band competition is sponsored by the St. Rita High School Band and Band boosters and is coordinated by St. Rita’s band instructor, Cindy Gradek.
15 high school marching bands, totally over 1600 students from all over the Chicagoland area will fill up Doyle stadium and present their halftime shows. The bands will be adjudicated by top university and Drum Corp International judges.
This competition begins at 1:30pm and will be open to the public. Tickets for adults are $7, 12 and under/senior citizens are $5, and children under five will get in for free. Concession will be available all day and the festivities will end with an award ceremony at 6:00pm.
