2010 Inductees
1952 City and Catholic League Championship Team
The team, ledy by legendary coach Barney Badke, won the Catholic League Championship then defeated the Public League Champion in front of an overflow crowd at the old Chicago Stadium.
They were a team that had adversity, struggled in the beginning, had some close games, some easy and peaked at the right time. No one would have beaten this team in April of 1952 and no one did.
Joe Scanlon, Class of 1958
At his time, Joe became one of the top scorers in St. Rita Basketball history, the Catholic League, and the State of Illinois.
He was honored as All-Catholic League, All-State, and All-American prep player in his Senior year.
Joe is also a member of the St. Rita High School Hall of Fame.
