Financial Aid Applications for the 2012-2013 School Year for current St. Rita students were due to www.factstuitionaid.com by February 15, 2012.
Application deadline for incoming freshmen is Friday, March 24, 2012. Freshman Parents will receive application information at registration. Registration dates are February 23, 29 and March 3. Registration appointments were mailed with acceptance letters on February 15.

Veritas Academic Scholarship
Incoming freshman students can earn an Academic Scholarship for their Freshman Year by scoring exceptionally well on the St Rita of Cascia High School Entrance Exam.

Academic Renewal Standards for the Class of 2015 and 2016
At the end of the second semester freshman year, the Scholarship Committee will review all freshman GPA’s. If a student meets the criteria listed below, he may earn an academic scholarship for his sophomore year.
After second semester of his freshman year, GPA’s will be checked to see if he qualifies for an Academic Scholarship. Going forward, GPA’s will be checked after first semester (January) of his sophomore and junior year to determine academic scholarship eligibility for the following school year. The standards are:

- Student must make an effort to enrich the life of the St Rita School Family. This may be demonstrated through academic endeavors, dedication to service or extracurricular activities.
- Academic Scholarships may not be renewed if academic or social behaviors of the student are judged unfit by the Scholarship Committee.
Grandfathered Academic Renewal Standards: Class of 2013 & 2014
- Students receiving $2500.00 scholarship must maintain a GPA of 3.50 or higher.
- Students receiving $1250.00 scholarship must maintain a GPA of 3.00 or higher.
- Student must be in good standing with the Discipline Office (2 or fewer detentions).
- Student must be in good standing with the Attendance Office (5 or fewer absence/tardy occurrences).
- Student’s tuition account must be paid current.
- Student must make an effort to enrich the life of the St Rita School Family. This may be demonstrated through academic endeavors, dedication to service or extracurricular activities.

Unitas Cascian Award
A Cascian Award is a financial scholarship given to a few select freshman students who have a financial need and demonstrate that they
excel in a balance of qualifications: academics, extracurricular activity involvement, strength of character, discipline, religious values, and their ability to make St. Rita a better school. The Cascian Award is a renewable scholarship as long as the standards are maintained.
Cascian Renewal Standards for the Class of 2015, 2016
At the end of the second semester freshman year, the Scholarship Committee will review all freshman GPA’s as well as discipline and attendance records and verify school involvement. If a student meets the criteria listed below, he may renew his Cascian Award for his sophomore year.
After his freshman year, all standards will be checked after first semester (January) of his sophomore and junior year to determine Cascian Award Renewal eligibility for the following school year.

Legacy Essay Scholarships
Students who have a father, grandfather, or great grandfather (maternal or paternal) who graduated from St. Rita High School or Mendel Catholic High School are awarded $1,000 Legacy Scholarships for their first year. The student must submit a one-page essay on “What St. Rita means to me.” Essays are due to Mrs. Maureen McWilliams by March 23, 2012.
Multiple Child Discount
Families with two or more brothers simultaneously enrolled at St. Rita High School will receive a $500 tuition discount per sibling.
Sister Scholarship
Freshmen who have a sister who concurrently attends any Catholic High School are awarded a $500 scholarship for the first year. Please send verification of attendance (copy of invoice for same academic year your son is a freshman) to Mrs. Maureen McWilliams in the Tuition Office.
Caritas: Financial Aid
St Rita of Cascia High School is committed to making a high quality Catholic education affordable for families by allocating funds for need-based financial assistance. Funds for our financial aid program are obtained by contributions from generous alumni, parents and other donors. We
use an outside company, FACTS Tuition Aid to evaluate submitted application and recommend an award amount. All awards are based on a family’s demonstrated financial need and the program’s availability of funds. Each family is required to contribute to the cost of educating their child. You must apply every year if you need financial assistance because circumstances
may change.
You may apply online at: www.factstuitionaid.com or obtain an application in the Main Office, the Business Office or with Mrs. Dion, Director of Financial Aid/Scholarships. Additional criteria for being awarded financial aidinclude:
