Emusic at St. Rita of Cascia High School


Emusic (Electronic Music) is a course offered at St. Rita of Cascia High School that teaches elements of music based upon industry standard hardware and software. The class mainly uses Acid Pro 6 software to create new music using loops, MIDI files, audio files, voice recordings, and instrument performances. Students learn musical concepts such as note names, keyboard skills, musical form, scales, chord progressions, families of instruments, and famous musicans/composers are covered.

Technical skills that are taught focus on the sound engineering process, which includes; copying, pasting, splitting tracks, volume, panning, voice overs, inline editing, working with sound effects, and rendering files in various file formats.
